The Detroit Red Wings look to rebound tonight after getting embarrassed on Saturday against the Montreal Canadiens. They face the Lightning tonight.

The Detroit Red Wings found out the hard way on Saturday how much better the Montreal Canadiens are when Carey Price and the rest of that team are clicking.

If you enjoy feeling sad, here’s the recap. Something I’ll say about the game is that Montreal showed they’re the class of the Eastern Conference and the Red Wings are at least a tier below them.

The Red Wings face another tough test tonight as the Tampa Bay Lightning come to town. The Lightning have ended the Red Wings season two years in a row and beat Detroit in the opening game of the year this year.

Petr Mrazek most likely will get the start tonight as Jimmy Howard has started the last two games.

Tampa Bay comes into Detroit tonight having won last night against the New York Islanders in Brooklyn. The Red Wings again will face a team that should be tired, while the Red Wings should be rested.

Another thing is the Red Wings should be ticked off after being slapped in the face by the Canadiens on Saturday night.

Niklas Kronwall will be out tonight and it’s possible that Ryan Sproul will see some action tonight. Let the kids play that’s my saying!

Here’s all the important information for tonight’s game:

More from Detroit Jock City

Since November 1st the Lightning have alternated wins and losses. The good news for the Red Wings is that the Lightning won last night so hopefully that trend continues.

A prediction I have for tonight is that the Red Wings come out angry and have a better performance than they did on Saturday which isn’t saying much.
