The Detroit Lions will be keeping an eye on several 2017 NFL Draft prospects during the Louisville at Houston game, including defensive standouts Josh Harvey-Clemons and Steven Taylor.

It’s never too early to be looking ahead to next year’s NFL draft. In this weekly piece, I’ll examine players from a marquee game, who could be potential draft targets of the Detroit Lions.

One of the most electrifying players in the country will be front and center in this game. Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson is as exciting to watch as anyone in the country and is the unanimous front-runner for the Heisman trophy. But, before you get too excited to scout him, he’s only a sophomore and isn’t eligible for the 2017 draft.
