Top 100 Prospects

Defense

Junior defensive tackle Davon Godchaux (#57, 6’4″, 293) could see his stock rise if his recent legal issues prove to be a non-issue. Godchaux was accused of a misdemeanor domestic violence and was arrested. Charges were dropped, and he was released shortly after, when witness accounts proved to be inaccurate. This could end up being a false report and an unwarranted blemish on the young man, but you can bet NFL teams will do their due diligence to examine the issue.

On the field, Godchaux is a versatile athlete who plays all along the defensive line, and has experience playing in both a 43 and 34 defenses. Tony Pauline had this to say about Godchaux:

"He’s an explosive and relatively athletic defensive line prospect who can play in a variety of systems and someone I stamped with a first round grade before the season."

Senior cornerback

Tre’Davious White

(#18, 5’11 1/2″, 192), a four-year starter, has the athleticism to match up with wide receivers of all sizes. He was considered a top 50 player in last year’s draft and nothing has changed going into 2017.

Despite receiving a solid draft grade, White felt he was inconsistent in 2015 and returned to LSU to help solidify his game. He has performed exceptionally well this season, and with the ability to play both on the outside and in the slot, he looks to be in the early round mix for the position.

Offense

Senior Ethan Pocic (#77, 6’6″, 309) is considered by many as the top center in this draft class and is a lock to (at a minimum) be drafted on day two. A three-year starter, Pocic is an elite run blocker, who executes proper hand placement and body control throughout his assignments. He has a skill set to be a day one starter in the NFL at center, either guard or right tackle.
