ERIC EBRON

On the comfort of the offense going into the fourth quarter trailing by three points: “I guess when you start putting the heat on us, man, we start playing better. Obviously, coming off the Bye Week, we did not start the way we wanted to. We were three and out on offense the whole first half. It wasn’t the best performance on us. I know I had a drop on a play I could have made. I didn’t do anything really that whole first half to help my team and we just lulled.”

On his career-long 61-yard reception: “They just called a play, man. Matt (Stafford) made great movement with his feet in the pocket to keep a play alive and he just found me, knew where I was going to be. I just keep working with him. We’ve had great rapport throughout the first half of the season since I came back and just plan on keeping it.”

On the mindset going into Thanksgiving with a 6-4 record: “To just get 1-0, just get 1-0. We all have to go take care of our bodies. This was a hard-fought game. Their (Jacksonville) defense is really talented, man. As you can see, they’ve got first-round draft picks all over that place. In that secondary, on the defensive line and they gave us their best match. We’re just happy to come out of here on top, but we’ve got to get ready for Thursday and just be 1-0 at the end of that.”

On how the contributions from special teams help the offense when they are struggling: “It was great. I’m just happy for Andre (Roberts). He really stepped up huge. We all make mistakes. We’re all human and he knew what he did. He pretty much just told us, ‘You know I got y’all’ and put the team on his back on that punt return and made a heck of a play. And on my play a lot of people will give me credit for what I did, but he threw a huge block for me to spring me even further down the field. I’m just happy for him and I appreciate him.”
