The Detroit Red Wings head to Buffalo tonight to try and snap a four game losing streak. The Red Wings are currently in last place in the Atlantic.

The Detroit Red Wings find themselves in a very unfamilar place. They sit dead last in the Atlantic and are three points from being last in the Eastern Conference.

The Red Wings lost another one goal game on Sunday night to the Calgary Flames 3-2. Anthony Mantha got the tying goal early in the third. That lasted five minutes until Mikael Backlund gave the Flames the lead for good.

The frustration for me and for all Red Wings fans is pretty high right now. This team is good enough to make the playoffs in my opinion, but clearly not good enough to win a Stanley Cup.

Anthony Mantha, for starters, is showing he needs to be up full time as he has been the best player on the ice for the Red Wings in at least three of the four games he’s been up.

Tonight, the Red Wings travel to Buffalo to face the Sabres and this team desperately needs this game.

The Red Wings are sick of the way things are going as well. It’s frustrating because this team could be so much better if not for a certain General Manager “cough Ken Holland cough”.

Moving on to the game tonight, the Red Wings are starting Jimmy Howard again and he has been better than Petr Mrazek this season.

Here is all the important information for tonight’s game:

The Red Wings desperately need to get back on track and I think they will tonight. At least for my sanity, I hope so.
