The 1990s were largely a forgettable decade for the Detroit Tigers. Things didn’t start off so badly, with above .500 finishes in 1991 and 1993, but 1996 brought a new manager as Buddy Bell replaced Sparky Anderson but the Tigers finished with just their second 100-loss season of the last 20 years.

By the end of the decade, the franchise was well on the path that saw them bottom out with the 119 loss 2003 season.

The 90s saw a mix of the old guard who were part of the Tigers 1984 World Series squad and playoff appearance in 1987 along with a group of new players who couldn’t keep the franchise near the top of the American League. Though the teams were not particularly memorable, that doesn’t mean all the players who suited up for the Tigers in the decade weren’t memorable either.

With that in mind, we’ve compiled the Detroit Tigers all-decade team for the 1990s.
