The Detroit Red Wings have been blessed with a ton of talent over the years. Founded as the Detroit Cougars in 1926, the Wings hold the distinction of being one of the oldest teams in the NHL, and are one of the fabled Original Six NHL teams.
With 11 Stanley Cup championships, and 58 Hall of Fame players, the Red Wings have had success that very few professional sports teams can match.
That makes it extremely difficult to pick out just 12 forwards, 8 defensemen, and 2 goalies to create a super team. I have tried however, to create the best team possible. Feel free to voice your opinions in the comments below, and let me know what changes you would make, if any!
