Detroit Red Wings at New York Islanders: Game Time, TV, Radio, Live Stream

The Detroit Red Wings head to Brooklyn tonight to face the Islanders. The Red Wings are coming off a bad loss to Pittsburgh last night.
The Detroit Red Wings finish off a back to back tonight as they head to Brooklyn to face the Islanders.
Last night, the Red Wings lost 5-3 to the Penguins and oh my where do I begin. The first 40 minutes were pretty good for the Red Wings. Henrik Zetterberg scored late in the first to give the Red Wings a 1-0 lead. In the second period Frans Nielsen scored to give them a 2-0 lead.
Phil Kessell would get the Pens on the board three minutes later but Dylan Larkin restored a two goal lead with a little over a minute left in the second. Red Wings led 3-1 after two.
Unfortunately, hockey has three periods and my good thoughts ended there.
Apparently the Red Wings defense forgot that a NHL game has three periods because the defense was awful in the third. Pittsburgh would score four times in the third. What was once a 3-1 lead ended up being a 5-3 loss for the Red Wings. Nick Bonino scored two minutes into the third and four minutes later Justin Schultz scored.
Phil Kessell scored again and not ONE Red Wing was even looking at him and that was unacceptable. It was so bad I think any of us would’ve scored on that play.
Jared Coreau was pretty good tonight but his defense left him out to dry, the only goal that was on him in my opinion was the Schultz goal.
The Red Wings defense has been a train wreck this season which shouldn’t be a surprise. The Red Wings blew a lead AGAIN, which Frans Nielsen said the Red Wings have to play better with the lead.
Tonight they face the New York Islanders. The Islanders currently sit last in the Eastern Conference with 22 points but are only three points behind Detroit.
Petr Mrazek is expected to get the start tonight and with this defense he needs to be on his A game tonight.

The Red Wings are in a weird position. They sit four points out of a playoff spot but are only three points ahead of the Islanders who have the fewest points in the East.
This is a team that the Red Wings should beat tonight. The Red Wings bad defense and all is still in the playoff hunt but it’s getting time for Holland to make a move.
