With the Detroit Lions set to take on the Chicago Bears in week 14 of the 2016 NFL Season, here is all the important info you need for today’s game.

The Detroit Lions begin the final quarter of their 2016 regular season this afternoon with a home game against the Chicago Bears. It is clearly the easiest game of the final four, making it of utmost importance in the Lions’ quest for their first-ever NFC North championship.

If there are any thoughts of taking the lowly bears too lightly, just think back to week four when the Lions traveled to Soldier Field and got hung with a loss. That dropped the Lions to 1-3 and started calls for Jim Caldwell’s job.

The Lions have been a different team since then, thriving on late-game heroics before finally putting together a convincing 60 minutes in last week’s win over the New Orleans Saints. We should expect to see more of what we saw last week today as the Lions need to control this game from start to finish.

But even if it isn’t always pretty, getting a win is all that matters. The Green Bay Packers remain a threat in the division race, but only if the Lions let them be. With four games to play, the Lions need three wins and Packer losses in any combination to clinch the division crown. Beating the Bears today lowers their magic number to two, with the possibility it drops to just one with three games to play if the Packers lose to the Seahawks this week.
