On what the Bears’ defensive front did to slow down the offense: “I’m not sure it was really them. I think that they’re a really good team, they played some good ball, but I don’t know if we were executing up to the standard that we’re used to until really the second half, and then that’s when things really started to get going as a group.”
On the adjustment he made moving from guard to center: “Snapping the ball and, I mean, there was some little technique things that you need to get on and I’m not going to say I was rusty, but I really started to get those down more in the second half. And that’s what I said, when the group started playing well.”
On the outcome of the game: “I mean, it means a lot. That’s really the type of game I like where it’s physical, everybody’s really getting after each other and I think that there was a lot of running the ball. I mean, I think we rushed for over 100 today, which is always the goal and it was a good win to be a part of.”
On QB Matthew Stafford’s game-winning rushing touchdown: “Yeah, he’s pretty good I think. He did a good job today. Matt is a fantastic leader and he’ll do whatever he needs to do to win.”
