The Detroit Red Wings look to turn things around on this five game home stand as they’ve lost the first two games. They face the Coyotes tonight.

The Detroit Red Wings lost in overtime on Sunday night to the red hot Philadelphia Flyers 1-0. Jimmy Howard was fantastic again and once again the Red Wings did not play that badly.

It is getting old to say that. This team is hanging around the playoff race but are clearly not Stanley Cup contenders. How much better would this team be if they had a good defense?

The Red Wings shut down the Flyers power play, which was very impressive. The Flyers had four power plays and didn’t convert on any of them.

After the six game win streak in the earlier in the season, the Red Wings have won twice in regulation. Two regulation wins in 21 games. Here’s proof if you don’t believe that.

If you’re a glass half full guy like me, you should be optimistic because even with only two regulation wins in 21 games, the Red Wings are only four points out of third place in the Atlantic.

Tonight, the Red Wings face one of the coldest teams in the league. The Arizona Coyotes have lost seven of eight games including a 7-0 beatdown against the Pittsburgh Penguins last night.

This is a game that the Red Wings absolutely have to win. The Coyotes are struggling and played last night. Here is all the important information about tonight’s game:
