Detroit Lions News: Travis Swanson Out, Theo Riddick Doubtful at New York Giants
By Zac Snyder
Detroit Lions news takes a look at the final week 15 injury report against the New York Giants before taking a look at Lions stuff around the web.
The Detroit Lions remain a fairly healthy football team given the late nature of the season but they may be without a couple important players again this week. Center Travis Swanson has enjoyed something of a breakout season but has already been ruled out for a second-consecutive week as he deals with a concussion.
The news is somewhat better for running back Theo Riddick, but not much. Riddick missed last week’s game with a wrist injury that may also keep him out against the Giants. He hasn’t been ruled out as of Friday afternoon, but the team has given him the doubtful designation for his chances of playing. Neither Swanson or Riddick practiced at all this week.
Ziggy Ansah (shoulder), DeAndre Levy (knee), Darius Slay (hamstring) and Zach Zenner (concussion) were limited in practice all week long and have drawn the designation of questionable on the final injury report.
The injury report ends with Matthew Stafford (finger) but there is no doubt about his playing status as the Lions didn’t even list him as questionable.
Here is a look at some other Detroit Lions news, notes, tidbits and whatnots from around the web.
