These Detroit Lions have a lot in common with the 2006 Detroit Tigers. Knowing they had a playoff spot clinched, they couldn’t win the division.
Facing long odds and pessimistic home fans, the Tigers showed they weren’t the Tigers of old and started winning.
At some point, if the Lions are to take the next step, they must overcome long odds. They didn’t against Green Bay.
