Michigan Top-5 Remaining Targets

Chuck Filiaga (Offensive Tackle, West Team #66) may be the most important remaining target for Michigan in this recruiting cycle. At 6’6″, 335 pounds, he could fill a major role on the Wolverines offensive line in 2017 if he chooses Michigan. Filiaga will be making his commitment during game today and will be one that Michigan fans should definitely be paying attention too.

Najee Harris (Running back, West Team #2) is the top player in this recruiting class. Harris has been committed to Alabama since 2015, but a strong push from Jim Harbaugh has him considering a flip to the Wolverines. As an early enrollee, he will have to decide soon, but in a curious move, he had told the media he will not announce his decision, but rather just show up at the school of his choosing. There’s lot of rumors and theories out there about his intentions, but we won’t likely know his choice until next week.

Aubrey Solomon (Defensive Tackle, East Team #91) surprised everyone when he committed to Michigan last June, and even though he decommitted soon after, Michigan has made him priority in this class. He looks to be an Alabama lean right now, but his recruitment will come down to the wire.

Jay Tufele (Defensive Tackle, West Team #78) is another stud defensive tackle and one that the Wolverines would love to add. Rumors are he may stay close to home, which would give Utah the edge in his recruitment, but this situation will go all the way to signing day (February 1st) as he plans on taking his time.

Willie Gay (Outside Linebacker, East Team #10) wants to be Jabrill Peppers and he has not been shy when talking publically about how much he loves Michigan. But, Gay is a former Ole Miss commit who stepped away from them after Michigan showed strong interest and now it appears LSU has jumped into the mix. This is another situation that will come down to the wire.
