The Michigan State Spartans (14-9, 6-4) come into Tuesday’s game against the Michigan Wolverines (14-9, 4-6) on a two-game winning streak, including a win at home in their last meeting with Michigan on Jan 29.
Michigan comes into Tuesday’s game sitting on the tournament bubble, without a top-25 win and having suffered some bad losses, including a 70-66 loss to Ohio State in their last game on Feb 4.

After leading the Wolverines in scoring for much of the season, Zak Irvin did not score in Michigan’s loss at the Breslin Center and scored five points against Ohio State. Derrick Walton Jr. has picked up the slack for the Wolverines, scoring over 20 points in each of his last three games and leading Michigan with 14 points per game over the entire season. D.J. Wilson leads the team in rebounds with six per game while also scoring 10.6 points per game.
The Wolverines’ offense is one of the most efficient in the conference, committing only ten turnovers per game and shooting 46.9% from the floor.
Michigan State ended a three-game losing streak with their win over Michigan last week and followed it up with a win at Nebraska on Thursday. Miles Bridges continues to lead the Spartans in scoring and rebounding (16.3 points, 8.3 rebounds per game). Nick Ward scored 13 points and grabs six rebounds per game, and Cassius Winston leads the team with 5.3 assists per game.
