The Detroit Red Wings look to snap a two-game losing streak tonight against the Columbus Blue Jackets. The Red Wings are coming off a 6-3 loss to the Capitals.

The Detroit Red Wings continue their three-game road trip tonight as they face the Blue Jackets in Columbus.

The Red Wings have lost two in a row and are coming off a 6-3 loss to the Washington Capitals on Thursday night.

Even though the Red Wings have lost two straight, the Blue Jackets aren’t exactly lighting the world on fire either.

The Blue Jackets come into today’s game losers of 10 of their last 16 games including a 4-0 loss to the Vancouver Canucks on Thursday.

After losing to the Capitals on Thursday, the Red Wings found out Jonathan Ericsson will be out for the year with a wrist injury.

The Red Wings have 220 man games lost to injury this season and losing Ericsson hurts a defense that’s already below average.

Tonight, the Red Wings face the Blue Jackets for the second time this week. The Blue Jackets won on Tuesday in overtime 3-2.

Frans Nielsen is expected back for today’s game which would be a good boost for this offense. Defensively though, the Red Wings face an uphill battle in tonight’s game.

The Blue Jackets are one of the highest scoring teams in the league and the Red Wings have given up the second most goals in the East.

Petr Mrazek wasn’t very good against the Capitals on Thursday so it will be interesting to see if Jeff Blashill gives Jared Coreau the start tonight.

Whoever starts, though, will have to steal the game for this team.

Here is all the important information for tonight’s game:
