The Detroit Tigers open exhibition play today with their annual spring game with Florida Southern College.
Manager Brad Ausmus has set his starting lineup for the game which includes most of the regulars. The lineup includes most of the projected regulars, although the batting order heading into the regular season is still to be decided, particularly in the second spot.

Victor Martinez gets slotted in the two hole for today’s exhibition but Ausmus has indicated that J.D. Martinez or Nick Castellanos could be options there. Justin Upton started last season hitting second but was later moved down in the order after struggling and figures to hit lower in the lineup this season as well.
As far as pitchers go, prospect Myles Jaye will make the start before giving way to a string of minor leaguers. Jason Beck has the list.

The team has also announced the pitching rotation for Friday’s Grapefruit League opener against the Baltimore Orioles. Beck has the starting pitchers through Tuesday.
Myles Jaye starts for Tigers today. Fulmer starts Friday, Verlander on Saturday, Boyd Sunday, Zimmermann Monday, Norris Tuesday.
