Detroit Tigers vs. Houston Astros: Spring Training Game Time, Broadcast Information
By Matt Snyder
The Detroit Tigers continue their exhibition season with a spring training game against the Houston Astros. Here’s how you can listen to the game.
The Detroit Tigers dropped yesterday’s exhibition opener against the Baltimore Orioles 2-0, but wins and losses are never the point of spring training baseball. They players are simply getting their reps in and preparing their bodies for the long grind of the season ahead.
Nick Castellanos was scratched from yesterday’s lineup due to illness. It looks like he’ll be sitting out again today. Chris McCosky posted today’s starting lineup on Twitter.
Evan Woodbery provided some additional pitching details today on MLive.
"After Verlander, the Tigers expect to use Blaine Hardy, A.J. Achter, Mark Lowe, Justin Wilson, Shane Greene and Alex Wilson."
Michael Fulmer pitched just one inning yesterday, but Justin Verlander could very well throw two innings today. The Tigers will trust their veteran ace to know his body and get the work he needs without over-extending himself early.
The good news: we get another radio broadcast today! Here’s all the info you’ll need to find today’s game on the radio or via MLB Audio stream.
