Detroit Pistons vs. Boston Celtics: Game Time, TV, Radio, Live Stream
By Zac Snyder
The Detroit Pistons host the Boston Celtics at the Palace of Auburn Hills this evening as they honor Richard Hamilton and retire his number.
It’s a meeting of teams in playoff position, but the Detroit Pistons and Boston Celtics are at opposite ends of the Eastern Conference playoff picture. The Pistons are clinging to the eighth and final seed in the current conference standings while the second place Celtics can entertain thoughts of chasing down the first place Cleveland Cavaliers.
February has brought a big opportunity for the Pistons and they’ve largely capitalized on it by going 7-3. That has the Pistons a game and a half clear of the Miami Heat for the final playoff spot in the East and the Pistons can further their February success with home games tonight and Tuesday before the calendar turns to March.
But tonight is about more than the game between the Pistons and Celtics. It’s a big night for the franchise as a whole as they send another number to the rafters by retiring Richard Hamilton’s number 32.
