After a successful February, the Detroit Pistons look to get March off to a good start tonight when they take on the Pelicans in New Orleans.

It was a win over the New Orleans Pelicans on February 1 that got last month off to a good start, something the Detroit Pistons will look to replicate when they take on the Pels in New Orleans that kick off March.

Things are a little different this time around. The Pistons entered that February 1 game on a three-game losing streak. The Pistons come into tonight’s game winners in three of their last four, including last night’s overtime win over the Portland Trail Blazers.

The Pistons went 8-4 in February and not find themselves in playoff position with a two-game cushion. But returning to the playoffs as the eighth seed only to be knocked out in the first round by the top seed again is not what the Pistons had in mind for this season. Another good month should see the Pistons improve their standing, but that won’t be easy. February brought the Pistons a home-heavy schedule that included the All-Star break but things even out in March.

But it’s not only the reality of hitting the road more frequently. The Pistons March schedule brings a number of Central division matchups facing the Pistons off against rivals who they are currently looking up to in the standings. Can the Piston embrace the opportunity, or will they wither under the pressure?

The road hasn’t been kind to the Pistons so far this season but games like tonight at New Orleans is one a team with playoff hopes should win. Here is all the important info you need for today’s game.
