Michigan Basketball at Northwestern: Game Time, TV, Radio, Live Stream
By Matt Snyder
The Michigan basketball team takes on Northwestern on Wednesday night. Here’s how you can find the game on TV or watch online.
The Michigan basketball team will hit the road for their final two regular season games, the first of which takes place tonight against the Northwestern Wildcats.
The Wildcats and Wolverines are tied at sixth place in the Big Ten standings with matching 9-7 conference marks. Northwestern had one more non-conference win than Michigan did; they sit at 20-9 overall.
Minnesota and Michigan State remain one game ahead of the Wolverines (and Wildcats) in a tie for fourth place in the Big Ten. The top four seeds get a double bye in the conference tournament. Going two for two in these final games might get Michigan into a top-four spot, but that would require losses from the Spartans and Golden Gophers.
The Wolverines have used a solid three weeks of play — they’ve won five of six including wins over Wisconsin and Purdue — to increase their NCAA Tournament odds from the precariousness of the bubble to near-lock status.
Neither Northwestern nor Michigan should be considered full locks at this point, but the winner of tonight’s game probably achieves that status. Either way, both teams are likely headed to the NCAA Tournament this season. For Northwestern, it would be their first ever appearance in March Madness.
