Detroit Red Wings at Calgary Flames: Game Time, TV, Radio, Live Stream

The Detroit Red Wings head to Calgary tonight to face the Flames. The Red Wings are coming off a overtime win against the Canucks on Tuesday.
The Detroit Red Wings, fresh off their fire sale, face the Calgary Flames tonight in Calgary. This is the second game on a five game road trip for the Red Wings. The Red Wings are coming off a 3-2 overtime win to the Canucks on Tuesday night and then on Wednesday they shipped away Thomas Vanek.
The return for Vanek has left a lot of people scratching their heads. The Red Wings got back a third round pick and defenseman Dylan McIlrath. McIlrath was a top ten draft pick in the 2010 draft but has been a major bust. Only getting him and a third round pick for Vanek really feels like a disappointment.
I liked everything else the Red Wings did. Getting a third round pick for Tomas Jurco, a second and third round pick for Brendan Smith and a sixth round pick for Steve Ott. The second and sixth picks are for the 2018 draft, but in this draft the Red Wings have eleven picks, four of which are in the third round.
Tonight, the Red Wings face the Calgary Flames as the Red Wings look to win their second straight game. Unfortunately, the Red Wings shouldn’t be winning. Now that the organization has admitted they’re missing the playoffs, they need to lose more games now.
If the Red Wings can get a top three pick in this years draft, that could really help them. Thankfully for the Red Wings, they play two good teams in the next two days. That should help them continue falling in the standings and getting that top three pick!
