The Michigan State Spartans will close out their conference regular season schedule against the Maryland Terrapins on Saturday.

The Michigan State Spartans (18-12, 10-7) will play their final regular season game on Saturday as they visit the Maryland Terrapins (23-7, 11-6).

Despite losing five of their last eight games, the Terrapins are tied for second in the Big Ten and are expected to make the NCAA Tournament, currently projected as an eight-seed in Joe Lunardi’s Bracketology.

Maryland is led by one of the Big Ten’s best guards, Melo Trimble, who averages 16.9 points per game. Justin Jackson and Anthony Cowan both contribute over ten points per game as well.

The Spartans won five of their seven games in February, including a win over #16 Wisconsin on Senior Day, but are coming off a tough loss to Illinois on Wednesday which leaves them on the tournament bubble.

Miles Bridges continues to dominate, averaging 16.5 points and 8.3 rebounds per game. Nick Ward ranks second with 13.4 points and six rebounds per game. Michigan State will again be without senior Eron Harris, the team’s third-leading scorer, who is out for the rest of the season with a knee injury.
