The Michigan basketball team will close out the regular season with a road game at Nebraska Here’s how you can find the game on TV or watch online.
The Michigan basketball team will wrap up the 2016-17 regular season with a road game at Nebraska on Sunday night. A victory would give the Wolverines their 20th win of the season.
Nebraska enters the game with a 12-17 overall record and a 6-11 mark in Big Ten play (tied for 12th). The Cornhuskers don’t have any tournament dreams of their own — they’d have to win the Big Ten Tournament — but they could potentially make Michigan sweat out their bubble position a little more with a win.
For what it’s worth, Michigan is listed as a projected No. 9 seed in the bracketology systems hosted at ESPN and CBS Sports, but they’re not designated as a bubble team on either website. It appears their spot in the tournament is fairly secure.
A loss would drop the Wolverines to 9-9 in conference play and cause them to stall out with 19 overall wins. They’d certainly feel better notching that 20th victory and finishing above .500 in the Big Ten. It’s best to not give the committee any reason to leave you out during the selection process.
The Wolverines and Cornhuskers met in Ann Arbor back in January with Michigan coming away with a 91-85 victory.
