The Detroit Red Wings wrap up their five game road trip tonight in Boston to face the Bruins. The Red Wings have lost three straight games.
The Detroit Red Wings wrap up their five game road trip tonight in Boston and it hasn’t been a good one. The Red Wings have only one win on this trip and have lost three straight games. Although this has improved their draft position.
Last night, the Red Wings lost to the Toronto Maple Leafs 3-2 as Gustav Nyquist scored both goals for them. Once again the Red Wings battled back but came up short. They were down 3-0 but came back and lost by a goal.
This was the Red Wings ninth loss in their last 12 games and their hopes of a top three pick in this year’s draft are growing. With the Red Wings hopefully getting a top three pick in the draft, they could very well draft a player that could turn this franchise around. The question is will Ken Holland play him right away.
Tonight the Red Wings face a Boston team that’s playing really good hockey. The Bruins have won eight of their last 11 games but are coming off a 4-2 loss to Ottawa on Monday.
Jared Coreau most likely will get the start tonight as Petr Mrazek started last night. Mrazek struggled last night and has cooled off lately.
