The Michigan basketball team takes on Illinois in the Big Ten Tournament on Thursday. Here’s how you can find the game on TV or watch online.

The Michigan basketball team begins Big Ten Tournament play on Thursday afternoon with a No. 8 vs. No. 9 matchup against the Illinois Fighting Illini. The Wolverines finished with a 10-8 conference record while Illinois checked in at 8-10.

The Wolverines had a scare on Wednesday as the team set off for Washington, D.C. The team plane was jetting down the runway when gusts of wind caused the pilot to abort takeoff. The plane slid off the runway when the brakes were applied and passengers had to evacuate.

The team reports that no one was injured in the accident. Hopefully the team can get past the frightening incident and take care of business against Illinois this afternoon.

Michigan has probably done enough to lock themselves into an NCAA tournament bid. ESPN and CBS Sports both project them as a No. 9 seed. Illinois appears to be on the wrong side of the bubble at this point. They’ll need to play themselves into the field with a strong run in the Big Ten Tournament.
