The Detroit Red Wings face the Colorado Avalanche for the second time in four days. Today the Avs make their final visit ever to the Joe.

The Detroit Red Wings face the Colorado Avalanche again today at the Joe. This marks the final visit to Joe Louis Arena for the Avalanche. The Avalanche beat the Red Wings on Wednesday night 3-1 as both teams are playing out the final string of games.

The Red Wings are coming off a shootout win against the Arizona Coyotes on Thursday night. That shootout win made the Red Wings 8 for 8 this season.

Today the Red Wings look to avoid getting swept by the Colorado for the first time since they became the Avalanche.

Both of these teams are looking towards the future. The Avs future as of now looks brighter than the Red Wings. The Red Wings have been led by Andreas Athanasiou, Dylan Larkin and, when he actually plays, Anthony Mantha. Unfortunately that’s about it. They have brought up Robbie Russo and he’s looked decent in the games he’s played in but even more prospects need to be brought up.

With the playoffs out of reach the Red Wings need to use these final games to see what they have in their prospects. Today the Red Wings look to win their second straight game while the Avs look to win their fourth game in their last six. Here is all the important information for today’s game:

72. . 103. Final.
