There might be some teams out there willing to make Ohio’s Tarell Basham their pick before the Lions get on the clock in the third round but he he’s a guy who would make sense if he’s still there after the first 84 picks have been made.

Basham had a productive college career at Ohio, capped by being named the MAC Defensive Player of the Year in 2016.

The concern with Basham is his strength, especially after he was one of the lowest bench press performers at the Combine with 15 reps. The challenge for NFL teams to figure out how much that college production will translate if he can’t get stronger.

Bench press aside, it wasn’t a bad Combine for Basham. Good news for a player who relies on his athleticism.
