Round 7

Could Bob Quinn look to a Penn State defensive end with one of his late picks for the second year in a row?

Like Anthony Zettel a year ago, Garrett Sickels had a productive career on the Penn State defensive line but faces questions at the next level. The team picking him will hope they can get some of that production while making Sickels a rotational/situation player in hopes he develops into a dependable backup.

Counting on Sickels to be anything more may be unrealistic and a big reason he will be a late-round pick or undrafted free agent. With adding impact on the defensive line a probably focus for the Lions in the draft, adding Sickels, or someone like him, is likely as a second defensive end in the class.
