Detroit Red Wings at Carolina Hurricanes: Game Time, TV, Radio, Live Stream
By Mike Rizzo
The Detroit Red Wings look to sweep the season series with the Carolina Hurricanes tonight. This is the final game of their back to back to back.
The Detroit Red Wings won another overtime game last night as Andreas Athanasiou scored the winner. For the second straight game, Athanasiou scored the overtime winner for the Red Wings. Anthony Mantha scored a pair of goals for the Red Wings.
Tomas Tatar gave the Red Wings a 3-2 lead almost ten minutes into the third. The Hurricanes almost lost the game in regulation but Justin Faulk tied the game with 50 seconds left.
After Athanasiou scored the winner in overtime, goaltender Eddie Lack was stretchered off due to a injury he suffered when Victor Rask shoved Athanasiou into him. Thankfully, Lack looks like he’ll be ok but obviously will not start tonight as Cam Ward will be the starter for the Hurricanes.
Jimmy Howard will start for the Red Wings. Also, the Red Wings could officially be eliminated from playoff contention tonight. Here is all the important information for tonight’s game:
