Detroit Tigers at Tampa Bay Rays: Game Time, TV, Radio, Live Stream
By Matt Snyder
The Detroit Tigers and Tampa Bay Rays play on Wednesday night at 7:10 p.m. Here’s how you can find the game on TV or streaming online.
The Detroit Tigers couldn’t muster much offense on Tuesday night, dropping the series opener to the Tampa Bay Rays by a 5-1 score. Miguel Cabrera hit a first inning home run to put the Tigers on top early, but that we be all the offensive output they’d get.
The Tigers, who will look to even the series on Wednesday night, will send Jordan Zimmermann to the mound for game two at Tropicana Field. Zimmermann has seen mixed results in his two starts to begin the year. He was rather good in his first outing against the Red Sox (one run allowed in six innings with three strikeouts), but was chased in the fifth inning of his second start after surrendering five runs against the Twins.
The Rays will counter with their staff ace, Chris Archer. The right-hander will be making his fourth start of the season already and he’s been as good as advertised thus far. Archer has recorded 18 strikeouts in 20 innings of work with a 2.21 ERA and 1.18 WHIP. The Tigers can’t count on many opportunities so they’ll have to take advantage of whatever they can get.
