The Detroit Tigers return home after an up-and-down road trip that took them out west for nine games. They came away with splits against the Diamondbacks and Angels but dropped the series with the Athletics and finished the road trip with a 4-5 record.
The Tigers enter play on Tuesday with an 18-18 overall record which puts them in third place in the AL Central standings. They’re two games behind the division-leading Twins with the Indians sitting in between.
The Tigers will welcome the Baltimore Orioles to town for three games this week. The Orioles are defying the projections once again with an impressive 22-14 record. They’re a half game behind the New York Yankees for the top spot in the AL East.
