The 2017 NBA Draft order is set following the NBA Draft Lottery. See where the Detroit Pistons ended up and the full two round draft order.

With just a 0.7% chance to win the first overall pick and just 2.5% chance to move into any of the top three spots, the odds were overwhelming that the Detroit Pistons would end up with the 12th overall pick.

Not moving into the top three meant the Pistons could pick no higher than 12th, with long odds of moving down since that would require either the Nuggets and/or Heat moving into a top three pick. As far as the Pistons are concerned, there was no excitement and they will pick 12th in next month’s draft.
