Detroit Red Wings lose Tomas Nosek to Vegas in expansion draft

The Expansion Draft was tonight and the Detroit Red Wings lost Tomas Nosek to the Vegas Golden Knights. More moves could come this week for the Red Wings.
The Detroit Red Wings, along with the entire NHL, found out what players the Vegas Golden Knights selected from their teams.
Petr Mrazek and Riley Sheahan, who were my two guesses, were not selected by the Golden Knights. It was Tomas Nosek who the Red Wings lost to Vegas.
Nosek is only 24 years old but never had the chance to crack the Red Wings lineup. He’s only played in 17 games including 11 games last season. Opinions are mixed about the Red Wings losing Nosek, though.
Helene St.James thinks this was a bad outcome for the Red Wings, while Bob Duff doesn’t think this is a devastating loss. I side more with Bob Duff. If the Golden Knights selected Petr Mrazek, I believe that would’ve been devastating for the Red Wings rebuild.
Nosek is viewed as a third line forward at best and the Red Wings have a lot of those. Whereas Mrazek, in my opinion, is a future All-Star goaltender and a big part of the future of this team.
Although the Red Wings still have a log jam at goalie with Jimmy Howard, Petr Mrazek and Jared Coreau. One of those goalies hopefully gets moved before training camp.
Here is the full roster for the Vegas Golden Knights. Former Red Wing Teemu Pulkkinen was also selected by the Golden Knights.
With the trade freeze ending on Thursday and the NHL Draft starting Friday, things are going to get busy with trades being able to happen.
