1975-1986. Leonard Thompson. 10. player. 50. . Wide Receiver

Leonard Thompson never had more than 773 receiving yards in a season and only had 50 receptions twice, but for five seasons from 1980 to 1985—not including the shortened 1982 season—he had over 500 receiving yards and at least three touchdowns.

Not the best production, but he was one of the only bright spots for an offense that deployed Eric Hipple, Gary Danielson, Jeff Komlo, John Witkowski and Joe Ferguson at quarterback during those seasons. The Lions struggled mightily during those seasons, but despite the lack of help in a passing game, Thompson was consistent and productive.

Thompson was released in 1986, ending his career after 12 years with the Lions.
