Wide Receiver. 1957-1965. Terry Barr. 9. player. 50.

Terry Barr was a completely Michigan product. Born in Grand Rapids in 1935, the year of the Lions’ first NFL championship, he went to the University of Michigan and was drafted by the Lions in the third round in 1957.

Barr was a part of the Lions’ 1957 championship squad as a rookie and returned an interception for a touchdown during the championship game against the Cleveland Browns, but he didn’t catch a pass on offense until 1959.

He really shined in 1963 and 1964, when he was named to consecutive Pro Bowls. He caught over 1,000 yards worth of passes in both seasons and lead the league in touchdowns in 1963 with 13. Barr retired in 1965 after nine seasons with the Lions.
