2. Stanley Johnson will be a starter

Last season, Stanley Johnson suffered quite the sophomore slump. He managed to find himself in Stan Van Gundy’s doghouse at a point, and the game didn’t seem to come as easily as it was during his rookie year. This has resulted in some worry that Johnson will be able to reach his potential and become one of the cornerstones of this roster.

I’m not saying Johnson will become the number one option for Detroit. Nor do I think he starts in game one of the season. However, I think that around December Stanley squeaks into the starting lineup for Jon Leuer and doesn’t give the spot back.

The NBA is getting more and more positionless. It’s basically become a center, a point guard, and three wing players. And I think a wing tandem of Avery Bradley, Stanley Johnson and Tobias Harris is the best that the Pistons can offer.
