October 21: vs. Indiana

The Hoosiers are an unknown in the Big Ten East this season. Indiana’s offense is underwhelming, but they have enough weapons to give Michigan State’s secondary headaches. Again, a young Michigan State team with little proven talent is likely going to struggle no matter who they face until some of these young players step up and assert themselves as legitimate talents.

On the other side of the ball, Indiana’s run defense was excellent in 2016, but they lost enough pieces in the offseason to make you wonder if they can stop Michigan State’s ground game.

The Spartans will once again keep it close, but their lack of depth will prove costly as Indiana hands Michigan State another loss. Indiana 21 – Michigan State 16 (2-5)
