Detroit Lions: Game-by-game predictions for the 2017 season
By Zac Snyder
Week 12: vs. Minnesota Vikings
Jokes about watching the Lions lose being part of a Thanksgiving tradition are over thanks to a four-game winning streak. The Lions will be looking to run that streak to five at the expense of the Vikings, who will spend their Thanksgiving in Detroit for the second year in a row.
Not only are the Lions on a nice Thanksgiving winning streak, they’ve done it with relative ease. A blowout win over the Packers broke the losing streak in 2013 then the Lions went on to coast to easy wins over the Chicago Bears and Philadelphia Eagles. Then came last year’s game against the Vikings.
In typical 2016 Lions fashion, it took a fourth quarter comeback and a little magic to secure the win. Lucky? Good? Opportunistic? Maybe a little of each, and the Lions might need a little of each next time around too.
I look for another tightly contested game this Thanksgiving, with the Lions extending their Thanksgiving win streak to five.
Prediction: Win (5-6)
