Detroit Lions: Game-by-game predictions for the 2017 season
By Zac Snyder
Week 15: vs. Chicago Bears
Eight losses might be too much to truly be in playoff contention but shouldn’t be enough to mathematically eliminate the Lions by week 15. It may be too little too late, but a late-season home game against the Bears could be just what they need to hang on for at least one more week.
It’s also the game the Lions debut their Color Rush uniforms on the field. With no Thursday night game and the decision to wear a throwback uniform on Thanksgiving Day, the week 15 Saturday game made sense to put the Color Rush uniforms on the field.
The Lions’ new uniform sets have seemed to be hot sellers and the all-gray Color Rush was widely worn by fans showing off their new threads at open practices during training camp. Maybe that’s enough to generate some late-season excitement between two teams with fading playoff hopes.
Whether the Lions are driving toward a playoff berth or fading away from one, this game should be a win.
Prediction: Win (6-8)
