Week 6: at New Orleans Saints

A case could be made that the Lions win in New Orleans last December was their best win of the season. It was their only win on the year that didn’t require a fourth quarter comeback and Drew Brees was very un-Drew Brees-like with three interception and zero touchdown passes.

That ran the Lions’ win streak over the Saints to three, including the last two in New Orleans. Do the Lions suddenly have the Saints’ number?

Maybe the Superdome isn’t quite the house of horrors it used to be but going on the road in the NFL is never easy – as the Lions have routinely shown in their recent – and not so recent – history. Give the Lions credit for how they were able to frustrate Brees last season but that kind of performance can’t be expected for a second year in a row.

The Lions head home from New Orleans and into their bye week with a loss this time around.

Prediction: Loss (2-4)
