Detroit Lions news: What they’re saying about week 1 win over Cardinals
By Zac Snyder
Detroit Lions news takes a look around the web at what is being said about the Detriot Lions’ win over the Cardinals to start the 2017 season.
The first half wasn’t the start anyone associated with the Detroit Lions wanted to see. A pick-six and some major special teams miscues brought out some calls of “same old Lions” early in the 2017 season.
However, a solid defensive effort held the Cardinals back from turning the Lions’ early issues into a big lead. A 10-0 first quarter deficit was just 10-9 by the half. That set up some more second half magic that last season became known for.
26 unanswered points turned an eight point lead for the Cardinals into an 18 point lead for the Lions. It was that surge of solid two-way football that propelled the Lions to a season-opening victory. It wasn’t easy, but few wins in the NFL are.
Here is a look at what is being said about the game from around the web.
