Running Backs

Start: Terrance West (at Cleveland, start percentage: 28.7%)

With Danny Woodhead out, West’s role will grow. Javorius Allen will get a lot of reps as well, but there will be plenty of snaps to go around and a lot of yards per carry against Cleveland.

More from Detroit Jock City

Sit: Frank Gore (vs Arizona, 33.2%)

Gore didn’t get as many carries as I thought he would last week as Marlon Mack got eight carries and the Colts’ only touchdown. This is a timeshare and none of the running backs involved are startable, especially against Arizona’s good run defense, until bye weeks hit unless Gore’s share of the carries goes up.

Pickup: Kerwynn Williams (at Indianapolis, on a team in 18.6% of leagues)

Williams is the starter for now while David Johnson is out. Andre Ellington will get some reps, but Williams will be a true feature back on a team that likes to run the ball, and the Colts’ run defense isn’t that strong.

Drop: Latavius Murray (27.4%)

The Murray drop party has begun after he scored 0.6 points on Monday night. Dalvin Cook is the guy in Minnesota.
