The Detroit Red Wings look to rebound tonight after losing their first game of the season on Tuesday. They face the Arizona Coyotes in Glendale.

The Detroit Red Wings suffered their first loss of the season on Tuesday night against the Dallas Stars.

The Red Wings got off to a slow start and the Stars made them pay. Petr Mrazek got his first start of the season and he kept the Red Wings in the game. Tyler Seguin and John Klingberg scored for the Stars in the first as the Stars scored early and never trailed.

Justin Abdelkader scored his first goal of the season in the second period to cut the lead in half, but Mattias Janmark gave the Stars a two goal lead right back.

It was 3-1 Stars after two and it stayed that way until late in the third when Anthony Mantha scored. Mantha scored his second goal of the season to make the game interesting. Unfortunately the Stars would add a empty net goal in the dying seconds of the game to clinch the victory.

The Stars won 4-2 for their first win of the season. Now the Red Wings head to Glendale to face the Arizona Coyotes. The Coyotes are looking for their first win of this young season and are coming off a 5-2 loss to the Vegas Golden Knights.

For the Red Wings to get the win tonight they need to get off to a better start. The Red Wings had a terrible start against the Stars and can’t afford to start slow against a young Coyotes team.
