Detroit Red Wings at Vegas Golden Knights: Start time, TV, radio, live stream
By Mike Rizzo
The Detroit Red Wings wrap up their four game road trip tonight in Vegas. They face the Vegas Golden Knights for the first time ever.
The Detroit Red Wings got a big win last night in Glendale against the Arizona Coyotes. The Red Wings trailed 1-0 and 2-1 but ended up winning 4-2.
Luke Glendening scored the winning goal and Frans Nielsen added an empty netter to clinch a victory for the Red Wings. Martin Frk and Henrik Zetterberg also scored for the Red Wings last night as they have won two of the first three games on this road trip.
Jimmy Howard was phenomenal once again tonight. He made 33 saves and kept the Red Wings in the game after another lackluster start. Howard has arguably been the Red Wings best player so far this season.
Tonight, the Red Wings visit Las Vegas to face the Golden Knights and look to hand the expansion Golden Knights their first loss in franchise history. The Knights have won their first three games this season including an emotional win Tuesday night in their home opener.
This is the first back to back games of the season for the Red Wings and even though Howard has been terrific so far, I expect Petr Mrazek to get the start tonight.
The Golden Knights are led by familiar faces, Marc-Andre Fleury and James Neal. Red Wing fans are very familiar with both of those players. Fleury could get the start for the Golden Knights tonight. Fleury is 3-0 with a 1.32 goals against average and a .963 save percentage. James Neal has five goals in three games and along with Fleury, is making the Golden Knights one of the biggest surprises in the league this season.
