Detroit Red Wings vs. Tampa Bay Lightning: Start time, TV, radio, live stream

The Detroit Red Wings return home tonight after a successful four game road trip. They welcome the Tampa Bay Lightning to Little Caesars Arena.

The Detroit Red Wings face division rival the Tampa Bay Lightning tonight at Little Caesars Arena. The Red Wings are coming off a big win in Las Vegas against the Vegas Golden Knights.

Gustav Nyquist scored his first goal of the season early in the first to give the Red Wings the lead. That was the only goal until halfway thru the second when the Golden Knights tied it up. The Golden Knights would score three times in the second and would lead 3-2 after two. That would be all the Golden Knights would get.

Anthony Mantha, Frans Nielsen, Nyquist again and Luke Glendening all scored in the third period to give the Red Wings a 6-3 lead. Henrik Zetterberg, who scored the second goal for the Red Wings, was the best player on the ice. Zetterberg had a four point night and played very unselfish hockey.

The Red Wings offense bailed out Petr Mrazek in this game. Mrazek got the start and once again was very shaky. Mrazek has struggled so far this season and it’s worrisome considering he struggled last year also. Jimmy Howard has been red hot for the Red Wings and I believe he should be getting the bulk of the starts this week – especially with the Red Wings having a tough schedule awaiting them this week.

The Lightning make their first trip to Little Caesars Arena tonight and they look to continue their dominance of the Red Wings. They have won seven straight meetings against the Red Wings.
