The Dallas Cowboys and San Francisco 49ers duel this weekend. The Cowboys are not looking good, but it is still early in the year. The 49ers are in a full-blown tank mode, looking to sell off their veteran players for resources in a rebuild. The 49ers have been within a single score of victory in each of the last five weeks. Lions fans should be hoping that SanFrancisco is celebrating an upset of the Cowboys this weekend.

The Pittsburgh Steelers face off with the Cincinnati Bengals in a week seven AFC North rivalry match up. The Lions play both teams later this year, but I would lean toward cheering for Pittsburgh. They have been a very up and down team in 2017. The Steelers come to Detroit next week. I think it would be good for the Lions to get them overconfident on a winning streak than looking to rebound from a division loss.

The Seattle Seahawks play the New York Giants in a contest between two clubs who started slow but recently rebounded. Lions fans should cheer for the Giants to continue their rebound while hoping that the Seahawks snap back to mediocrity. A Giants win betters the Lions strength of win and strength of schedule numbers, and brings the Seahawks back to .500 and even with the Lions.
