Detroit Red Wings vs. Vancouver Canucks: Start time, TV, radio, live stream
By Mike Rizzo
The Detroit Red Wings look to end a three game losing streak tonight as they face the Vancouver Canucks. The Canucks have won two of their last three games.
The Detroit Red Wings face the Vancouver Canucks tonight at Little Caesars Arena. Both teams are being led by their old stars. Henrik Zetterberg has been one of the Red Wings best players this season, while Henrik Sedin and Daniel Sedin continue to be the Canucks best players.
The Red Wings are coming off a 4-3 overtime loss to the Washington Capitals on Friday. Alex Ovechkin scored the winner on the power play. Ovechkin made the Red Wings pay for leaving him wide open. Petr Mrazek who played his best game of the year, had no chance on that shot.
Mrazek was phenomenal but unfortunately had a few bounces go against him. The Red Wings led late in the third but once again blew the lead.
T.J. Oshie scored with the Capitals on the power play after Darren Helm missed the empty net. Even though the Red Wings continue to blow third period leads, this team is better than I thought they would be. It is early though.
Tonight the Red Wings face a Canucks team that is also improved. The Canucks are coming off a win against the Buffalo Sabres on Friday.
After Petr Mrazek got the start on Friday, I expect Jimmy Howard to get the start tonight. Howard has been the better goalie so far but struggled badly against the Maple Leafs. If Howard gets the start tonight he needs to have a rebound game. Here is all the important information for tonight’s game:
