The #24 Michigan State Spartans will host the #7 Penn State Nittany Lions in East Lansing on Saturday in an important Big Ten matchup.

The #24 Michigan State Spartans and #7 Penn State Nittany Lions will face off for the Land Grant Trophy on Saturday at noon at Spartan Stadium.

The Spartans are coming off a triple-overtime defeat against the Northwestern Wildcats last week that gave them their first loss of the conference season. Quarterback Brian Lewerke has been quietly efficient, completing 61.4% of his passes and throwing for 14 touchdowns while also rushing for 343 yards.

The Nittany Lions lost to the #4 Ohio State Buckeyes a week ago, 39-38, and are looking to rebound to stay within a game of the Buckeyes in the Big Ten East. Saquon Barkley is one of college football’s best players, averaging 5.8 yards per carry, and Trace McSorley has thrown for 16 touchdowns to give the Nittany Lions balance.

Spartan Stadium – East Lansing, Mich.

Game time: Kickoff is at 12:05 ET.

Line: The Nittany Lions are 10-point favorites and the over/under is 48, however, ESPN gives the Wildcats a 88.9% chance of winning.

Series HistoryThe all-time series between the two programs is tied at 15-15-1. The Nittany Lions win last year’s matchup 45-12.

TV: The game will be nationally broadcast on FOX, with Joe Davis, Brady Quinn and Bruce Feldman on the call.

Radio: George Blaha and Jason Strayhorn will have the call for the Spartan Network for free on air and online. The game can also be streamed through the SSN Mobile App with a subscription.
