It was in doubt right up to the end, but the Detroit Lions came away with a key division victory over the Chicago Bears in week 11.

The Detroit Lions did everything they could to avoid it, but they won their week eleven game vs. the Chicago Bears. The team started slowly in both halves but got the job done when it counted. Well, more accurately the Bears came up short when it counted. The game was decided by a missed field goal from Bears kicker Connor Barth.

The offensive game ball goes to Matthew Stafford. Stafford went 12-31 for 299 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions. In the wind and cold, not every Stafford pass was perfect. However, he gave his receivers a chance to make plays almost every time. In the final minutes of the fourth quarter, Stafford engineered yet another game-winning drive for the Lions.

The special teams game ball goes to Matt Prater. According to Thom Brennaman and Chris Spielman, Prater had been unable to hit a field goal anywhere near the length that the Lions asked him to prior to the game. As always, no matter the situation, when it counted the Lions could count on Prater to bail them out yet again.

The Lions defensive game ball goes to the Chicago Bears. This is the second consecutive week that team without a single respectable receiving target has come out of the gate and hit the Lions defense in the mouth. How is it possible that a team with no weapons in the passing game can put up 149 rushing yards by halftime?

As has been the pattern this season, a lucky turnover for a defensive touchdown bailed the Lions out. They were in a situation where what they deserved was to be down by 13-17 points. Mitchell Trubisky fumbled a snap under center, as rookie quarterbacks are prone to doing.

An honorable mention goes to Cornelius Washington. He did come up with half of a sack in the fourth quarter against his former team.
